Ad by BBDO New York comes as the brand encourages customers to shop early

FedEx's ad gearing up for the holidays starts off more like a spot from a big sports brand.
It sees two super fit guys competing on an obstacle course, "American Ninja Warrior"-style, with a backdrop of a city skyline. One, a FedEx courier, powers ahead of his muscular rival, despite carrying a ton of packages. The soundtrack (“Give It All” by 7KingZ) gives it a grueling workout feel. "We've been training for the shipathon, because the obstacles are bigger than ever this holiday," says the voiceover.
The ad is by BBDO and was directed by Noam Murro via Biscuit. The wider campaign includes integrated elements including social media and streaming audio. It comes as FedEx is encouraging consumers to shop and ship early, with the pandemic putting extra pressure on deliveries and online shopping.
