Dunkin’ unboxes a musical holiday campaign from the point of view of the donuts

The spots from Leo Burnett arrive just as the coffee and donut dealer releases its holiday menu

Dunkin’s new holiday ads from Leo Burnett have a simple message—remember, everyone loves a donut.

A 30-second spot called “Unboxing” shows kids, doctors, chefs and families from the point of view of a dozen donuts inside a box. The ad, along with most others in the campaign, are set to a custom song from Beacon Street Studios with the ending lyric of, “Everybody loves a donut.”

The campaign comes just as Dunkin’s holiday menu rolled out last week, featuring a peppermint mocha latte, cookie butter cold brew, spiced cookie coffee and white chocolate latte. But donuts are the star of this campaign.

Another spot features a pair of elves ordering a dozen donuts in a drive-through.

 

The campaign also includes :15 cutdowns. The ads, directed by Smuggler's Henry-Alex Rubin, will run across linear TV, streaming, social media and out-of-home.
