People win in unexpected ways in ads from FanDuel Casino
Debut campaign by Mischief takes a comedic tone
Editor's Pick
FanDuel Casino, the casino arm of the gaming app, takes a comedic approach towards the idea of "winning" in its first campaign from Mischief.
The creative taps into the insight that a win—no matter how big or small—feels phenomenal. In one spot we see a woman getting dumped by a guy she was already planning to break up with. And in another, a woman celebrates not having to pay for parking because the meter’s broken. The spots were directed with a deft comedic touch by Matt Aselton at Arts & Sciences.
The campaign is designed to boost FanDuel Casino’s brand awareness, as the company continues to work with states on legalized, regulated and taxed i-gaming expansion. As well as the two hero spots, there is social content, radio and out-of-home advertising across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia, states where the feature is available.
“We have big ambitions for FanDuel Casino and this is a huge step forward for our business," said Daniele Phillips, VP of brand strategy at FanDuel Casino, in a statement. "FanDuel has connected with sports fans and in doing so, has earned the position as America’s #1 Sportsbook. We have an incredible opportunity to build on that success with FanDuel Casino. This is our first big, 360 brand platform work designed for longevity.”
