Finish will help you clean your dirty Super Bowl dishes in time for Valentine's

'24 hour challenge' by the brand takes advantage of the timing

Super Bowl bumps right up against Valentine's Day this year -- well almost. There are 24 hours in between, and dishwasher brand Finish is taking advantage of that to promote its cleaning capabilities.

The idea behind the campaign is that Monday Feb. 13 is the "scariest day of the year," because you have to get your house clean between the Super Bowl party and Valentine's. While it's a slightly flimsy construct (why not just go out?) it makes a neat basis on which to promote Finish Quantum, which promises to get your dishes clean even if you leave them for hours, with a "24 hour challenge."

The promo challenges US residents to make one of a number of recipes on the website, then leave their dishes with the food dried on for 24 hours in the dishwasher before using Finish Quantum. If the product doesn't work, they can claim their money back (up to $20, as long as they used the specified ingredients and types of dishes.) They need to supply photos of the dirty dishes too. 

A spot promoting the challenge, featuring a teddy bear going head to head with an NFL player,will begin rolling out on TV locally during the Big Game in Tampa, Ft. Meyers, and Denver, as well as on social and digital.  The campaign was created and shot by the New York branch of Happy People Project, an agency based in Turkey. The film was shot by director Eralp Vardar and produced by Depo Film.
