Two-Day Stunt Saw Consumers Washed and Dried by Machines

This is one of the more unusual stunts we've seen: Swiss haircare brand Syoss managed to garner itself some publicity by setting up a "car wash" for hair in Zurich's main railway station.

As seen in the video, visitors (who all look very unsure) sat in a chair and moved through on a set of rails, just like in a real car wash. A hydraulic arm then moves across the head and squirts water on their head, while a second nozzle dispenses a precise quantity of shampoo. As the chair moves forward, further automated devices are activated: vertical roller brushes, water galleries, conditioner nozzles, a horizontal cloth roller and a device for massaging in conditioner. The hair is quickly dried using two industrial hair dryers. Finally, two Syoss stylists finish them off (and we reckon they must have done an amazing job, because the end results look pretty good).

Jung von Matt's Limmatt office created the stunt, which ran over two days and promoted Henkel-owned Syoss as a brand that delivers a professional, "fresh-from-the-salon" look.
