Four Loko STD kits get you ready to party post-pandemic

Thanks to the vaccine, many Americans will be ready to go all out with their July 4th celebrations. But malt liquor brand Four Loko wants to make sure they party safely—by giving them STD kits. 

In a new contest from the Phusion Projects brand, Four Loko is giving away 250 STD self-tests (an additional 200 have been sent out to influencers). The specially-branded kit, from MyLab Box at-home wellness testing company, allows consumers to know if they’re disease-free within one to five days. A representative notes, however, that the test checks for only common infections, not HIV.

The company is giving away the tests for free while supplies last, or until July 15. Consumers can sign up to get one on the FourLoko site

An Instagram post promoting the test encourages consumers to “get tested, get ready and get back out there” and shows all the tools they’ll need: a pair of visor shades, a case of Four Loko and the STD kit. Another depicts the ridiculously funny film above, which combines drab stock photography and crude VFX to illustrate the fun to be had when you’re infection-free and drinking Four Loko. The company worked with agency Zaddy on the campaign.
