Cooking Is Like Free Jazz in Lurpak's Fun, Food-Filled Ad
Juan Cabral Directs Another Mouthwatering Spot for the Butter Brand
Apr 17, 2015
Lurpak is already known for its gloriously appetite-whetting spots out of Wieden & Kennedy London (including Kitchen Odyssey and Cooking Up a Rainbow) and its latest is no exception. This time the butter brand has employed the talents of MJZ's Juan Cabral to direct, as the viewer is encouraged to "go freestyle" in the kitchen.
Set to a jazz soundtrack, it's voiced by the familiar smooth tones of Rutger Hauer, and as well as having the obligatory shots of mouthwatering ingredients, it captures the passion, energy and creativity of cooks putting a meal together with dance-inspired rhythm (New York dancer Storyboard P acted as choreographer). Promoting Lurpak Spreadable, the ad debuted on U.K. television last night (April 19) during "Britain's Got Talent."
