Nanhi Kali : The Girl Epidemic

Stop the epidemic.

Editor's Pick

Project Nanhi Kali, the Indian NGO that supports education for underprivileged girls, has once again teamed up with agency Strawberry Frog to highlight the plight of girls in India. Last year, it launched The Girl Store, a concept whereby people could 'buy' a girl in order to stop her being literally sold into marriage or sex slavery. Its latest website, TheGirlEpidemic.com, features a hard-hitting trailer-style film, shot by director and photographer Indrani, depicting girls as an infectious disease being violently removed from society. After watching the film, viewers can click a button to donate to stop the 'epidemic'.
