Travel Back In Time With Google Maps' Latest Feature

Google Maps has added a "time machine" feature to Google Streetview, that lets you compare historical Streetview images of places with how they look now. Google Maps users can now click on a new clock icon that will appear in the corner of the screen when using Street View on Google Maps, enabling them to look at interactive timelines containing previous Streetview images going back to 2007. Locations in 52 countries were chosen based on places where Google's trekker technology has visited more than once. The company enlisted B-Reel to help promote the feature, which it has done in various ways, including creating a "Doc Brown" (as in, from Back To The Future) version of its Pegman (the little yellow guide for Google Streetview) who appears on the user's screen in a lower left-hand mini-map once a user engages with the clock icon. B-Reel has also created images and gifs of some iconic architectural and skyline changes, including the construction of the Freedom Tower in New York and the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore.
