Gun violence ads reference Trump shooting: ‘Not everyone is that lucky’
Neon, part of IPG Health, developed the campaign in partnership with Artist For Action

Donald Trump came within inches of losing his life on July 13, when a shooter clipped his ear with a bullet at a rally in Pennsylvania. Now, a new campaign aimed at reducing gun violence references the Trump shooting and declares: “Not everyone is that lucky.”
The campaign comes from agency Neon, part of IPG Health, and features kids sporting ear bandages similar to the one that Trump wore for days after the shooting. The client is Artist for Action, a coalition of artists who are taking action toward eliminating the epidemic of gun violence.
Each day, 12 children die from gun violence in America and another 32 are shot and injured. “Do more to stop gun violence in schools,” say the ads, along with the AFA URL.
The campaign will run on all Artist For Action (AFA) social media channels and its website, and will be amplified by partner organizations’ social channels, ambassadors, musicians and influencers who work with AFA.
