A Broken Toy Horse Leads to a Colorful Adventure in Honda CR-V Spot
Ad From Australia Plays on the Unpredicable Nature of Family Life
Editor's Pick
In this cute, family-oriented ad for the Honda CR-V from Australia, a little girl breaks her pink toy horse and Dad promises to get her another. As he sets out to resolve the situation, the story then drifts into the realm of the surreal when the family heads to the "Rainbow Ranch" where "Prismatic Ponies" run wild and farmers rake pink hay. Finally they approach her perfect pink pony, but the girl's quest then inevitably inspires her little brother. It's all set to the track "Howlin' For You" by The Black Keys.
Leo Burnett Melbourne created the spot, directed by Goodoil's Hamish Rothwell. The story is aimed at representing how unpredictable family life can be, as Leo Burnett Melbourne ECD Jason Williams explained in a statement: "The idea came from the insight that having children is its own adventure and sometimes you have to go on a bit of a wild goose chase to appease the imagination of a young child."
