Now, as part of the campaign encouraging people to "be a maverick with fabric," the retailer teamed up with a designer from Savile Row (the London street famed for its upscale tailoring establishments) to make a set of beautiful suits from Ikea fabrics.
William Hunt created the suits using Ikea textiles Sofia, Rosenrips, Nedja and Kungslilja, which mirror existing products by the retailer including Poang chairs and Stocksundt sofas and bedding. As you can see in the video here, they look amazing--though whether in real life you'd want to match your Ikea sofa is debatable.
A limited number of the suits will be available via an online competition; entrants need to answer a question about how they express their personality in the home to be in with a chance of winning. Ikea's U.K. PR agency Hope & Glory is behind the project.
