The '90s are all coming back to Celine Dion, with the help of Instagram Shopping
Mother New York recreates the perfectly cheesy music video for the social network's new sales platform
Dec 04, 2019
It’s a dark and stormy night, and Celine Dion finds herself—alone, as always—in a gothic mansion. This time, rather than being haunted by a ghostly boyfriend, she’s wooed by clothing and fashion from the past, in a spot-on homage to her 1996 music video “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” complete with candle-lit hallways and French doors trimmed with windswept gossamer.
In this modern retelling of the classic power ballad, Dion browses Instagram, riding a wave of nostalgia for ‘90s styles and gazing longingly at stiletto heels from Bershka, Michael Kors pumps and shades, Marc Jacobs trainers and earrings from Oscar de la Renta. With just a few taps, she can now order these items with Instagram Shopping, the social network's new sales platform.
The 60-second spot from Mother New York is directed by Matt Lambert via Prettybird and styled by Mel Ottenberg. Dion herself shared a vertical version of the video.
