Adidas Douses Chelsea Players in Blue Paint

UK agency The Corner covered Chelsea FC stars John Terry, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata in blue paint for an adidas campaign to launch its new team shirt. The film, which will run on Chelsea FC TV, in-store and on the brand's digital channels, was made using 3,000 liters of paint (you can watch the Making Of video here). The strapline is "It's blue. What else matters?"

Fans will be able to click on images of the players' torsos painted blue on adidas, Chelsea FC and retail partner websites to pre-order their shirt. The spot, which also features players Torres and Mata getting doused, was directed by Mark Zibert through 24 with a soundtrack is by Wizzy Wow. Print work, also shot by Zibert, stars players Demba Ba, Gary Cahill, Petr Cech, Eden Hazard, David Luiz, Juan Mata, Oscar, Terry and Torres, will run in Chelsea FC, adidas and retail partners' stores around the world.
