Apple TV+’s latest content lineup boasts a bevy of big name stars: Tom Hanks, Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jason Sudeikis, Mahershalah Ali, Billie Eilish and even Snoopy. One celebrity it’s missing, however, is Jon Hamm.
The Emmy-honored “Mad Men” actor bemoans his absence from the platform in the brand’s new campaign. “Hey, Apple, did I do something to offend you?” he asks as he scrolls through his queue, scoffing at the brand’s casting choices.
“Seriously, I could have done Lasso,” he groans, watching Sudeikis in his own Emmy-winning role.

Hamm even makes a call to Hanks about his double appearances, in “Finch” and “Greyhound,” angling for tips until he gets cut off by the voicemail robot.
Other AppleTV+ shows and films highlighted in the ad include “The Morning Show,” “The Shrink Next Door” starring Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell and “The Tragedy of Macbeth” with Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand.
The spot was directed by comedy pro Wayne McClammy at Hungry Man. It will be running globally across multiple platforms and is set to run on Saturday, Jan. 22 during the NFL playoffs.
