Paramount will debut another character-filled spot in its Paramount+ brand campaign "A Mountain of Entertainment" during the NFL Thanksgiving game on Thursday.
The new ad from Droga 5 was inspired by the Key & Peele substitute teacher character, Mr. Garvey. played by Keegan-Michael Key. Mr. Garvey finds himself teaching mountain survival skills to a mix of characters from across Paramount+ titles and properties, whose names he manages to mangle. They include Dora (Dora the Explorer), Blue (Blue’s Clues), Rubble (PAW Patrol), Bumblebee (Transformers), Nate (Big Nate), Clawdeen Wolf (Monster High The Movie), Peppa Pig (Peppa Pig), Murf (Star Trek: Prodigy), Marsai Martin (Fantasy Football), Blaze (Blaze and The Monster Machines) and more. Sylvester Stallone (Tulsa King) has also lent his voice to the spot, which was directed by David Shane of O Positive.
The "Survival School" spot will serve as the first in a three-spot ad campaign.
It's the twelfth spot in the series so far, with the first campaign having originally kicked off at the 2021 Super Bowl, featuring 30 stars from film, tv, sports, and news series coming together to climb the fabled Mount Paramount. A second campaign, a year later, continued the journey during the AFC Championship game.
