The Kool-Aid Man has always been a party crasher, bursting effortlessly through drywall, concrete and brick alike with his improbably resilient body. This holiday season, he’s joining rapper Lil Jon for a musical bash with a crunk-styled rendition of a classic Christmas song.

The two have more in common than a love for brightly-colored sugar drinks. The Kool-Aid Man precedes each destructive act with his infamous “Oh yeah!” and Lil Jon’s solo career took off with his chorus of “yeahs” with Usher in 2004. Here they team up to wreck a stranger’s house, helped along by a track-spinning Santa Claus, a tiered Kool-Aid fountain, an indoor snowshower and a kid-heavy dance troupe decking in holiday gear.

With new lyrics to “All I Want for Christmas,” Lil Jon confesses that he’s more material than Mariah. She may just want “you,” but he wants “everything on my list,” and it’s a long one at that. (Flak Jacket, Speakers, Sneakers, Fly Rims, Bling and House in St. Tropez all make an appearance.) He’s also no fan of egg nog--Kool Aid is the drink of choice for the house.

Not to be outdone, Kool-Aid Man drops a few verses as well, though they consist entirely of “Oh yeah,” sung to the tune of “Jingle Bells.” His voice is less gravelly than it used to be. Rather than the familiar croak of the ‘80s, the “oh yeahs” are dull and rounded, perhaps the only part of this update that isn’t over-the-top.
