America might be gearing up for an important vote this Fall but before that, they'll get a chance to decide whether they prefer left or right. Twix, that is.
The Mars-owned candy bar is buildilng on its ongoing Left vs Right campaign by asking people to decide on their favorite. The campaign, by BBDO New York, includes a (ridiculously biased) nationwide taste test. Twix fans can vote for their favorite side by using the hashtag #LeftTWIX or #RightTWIX on Instagram and Twitter. There will also be live taste tests over the next few months at music festivals and events throughout the country, kicking off during Music Week at SXSW next week. Meanwhile, the brand is promoting the contest with a series of online videos, showing tastings for left and right that make Donald Trump's electioneering tactics look positively saintly.
The taste test will come to an end in September when one side or the other is crowned the best Twix in America -- while the losing side is "booted out of the pack."
