NFL season is upon us and what better way to celebrate than with an epic pep rally?
The league's new Kickoff campaign from 72andSunny Los Angeles entitled “It Feels Good to Football” includes some of the biggest music icons, celebrities, influencers and NFL stars including rappers Lil Wayne, Saweetie and Pusha T, Seattle Seahawks’ DK Metcalf, Los Angeles Chargers’ Derwin James and New Orleans Saints’ Cam Jordan.
The campaign is set to Dr. Dre’s anthem “Still D.R.E,” which was performed at this year's Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring music icons Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent. Their performance averaged 103.4 million viewers, a 7% increase from last year's show featuring the Weeknd, and it was the most viewed Halftime fete in five years, according to The New York Times.
Each 15-second teaser pays tribute to the performance and shows a star-studded pep rally meant to capture the joy and excitement that comes with the start of the NFL season.
The campaign aired today on NBC. The 2022 NFL Kickoff game starts at 8:20 p.m. EST on Sept. 8 at SoFi Stadium with the Buffalo Bills playing the Super Bowl-winning Los Angeles Rams.
