First a Hamster, Now a Child

Having teased it earlier this week, Volvo Trucks has now revealed what its latest "live test" is all about: a four-year-old girl driving a massive 18 ton truck via remote control.

In a scenario we suspect would feature in many an adult's secret dreams as well as those of kids, "Sophie" takes control of the FMX and drives it around a sealed-off mock up of a construction site like she was playing in a sandpit. She ploughs it through water, straight it into a building and down a slope in a 360 degree turn. Of course, the truck is seen to be suitably indestructive.

Forsman & Bodenfors was once again responsible for the live test, which promotes the Volvo FMX Truck's Automatic Traction Control, among other features.

Previous live tests in the multiple award-wining series have seen a hamster steer the truck by running around in a wheel, as well as, famously, actor Jean-Claude Van Damme stand astride a couple of moving trucks in "Epic Split."
