McCormick assures frantic, anxious home cooks that everything is 'gonna be great'

In an age of ‘round-the-clock cooking shows, reality baking and the ubiquity of Pinterest fails, one of the biggest barriers to cooking at home is anxiety about whether the food will be any good.

But as every amateur chef knows, it’s actually pretty tough to screw up a home-cooked meal, especially with the right ingredients. A new spot for McCormick, whose spices have been pantry staples for 130 years, highlights the busy, hectic, frantic lives of home cooks today.

Whether corralling rambunctious children, juggling late-night work or desperately trying to impress future family members, the results are “gonna be great,” the spot assures. The campaign from Grey New York features true-to-life scenarios, like a last-minute attempt to live up to the impossible standards of the local bake sale gang.

Directed by Martin Werner via Reset, a series of spots will rollout throughout the year on major TV networks and food and lifestyle channels, print and social media placements. Holiday spots are also slated to run at the end of the year.
