Miles Teller befriends a bear in quirky ads for Finnish Long Drink
The 'Top Gun: Maverick' actor is an investor in the brand
Editor's Pick
In "Top Gun: Maverick," actor Miles Teller's character, Rooster, experiences a bonding moment in a snow-laden forest with Tom Cruise's Maverick. And in a new campaign for Finnish Long Drink, he shares a similar bromance—with a bear.
The actor, who is an investor in the Finnish Long Drink brand, appears in a series of quirky spots from agency Technology, Humans And Taste, directed by Honor Society's Cary & Jon. They bond over their shared love of fishing, honey, dancing and, of course, a Long Drink.
The whimsical spots lean into Finland's reputation as a happy and friendly northerly country; they end with the tagline "From the happiest country on Earth," flagging up that the brand is now available in America.
Last September, Teller revealed he had taken a stake in the Finnish-inspired canned spirits brand, which combines alcohol with sparkling citrus. He's not the only celebrity to invest in the brand; DJ Kygo has also taken a stake, as has golfer Rickie Fowler.
The wider campaign for the brand includes some other spots, below, in which couples learn the dangers of grabbing a “quick drink” in unknown locales such as abandoned dive bars in lieu of enjoying themselves with a slower-paced Finnish Long Drink. The campaign also plays on Finnish culture, with spots set in a sauna and more.
