This week, MINI has been trying to piss binge-watchers off in an effort to get them out on the road in its cars. The #MINISpoilers campaign from Pereira & O’Dell hit social media this week in films and posts that cheekily reveal the outcomes of popular series like “Game of Thrones,” “This Is Us” and “West World.” While the ads don’t outright name the shows--the spoilers pretty much do:
“There are a bunch of dragons. Everyone dies.”
“It’s the past. It’s the present. It’s the past again. . . There’s a lotttt of crying.”
“Emotionless Wild West characters can be killed for sport … Oops. They have emotions.”
Copy in the Instagram post also recommends, “Spend less time on the couch and more time behind the wheel.”
We’re starting to see more work for the BMW-owned brand emerge from its new shops, POD and 360i, which came on board last fall. The latter recently debuted a charming animated campaign, shot entirely within the trunk of the MINI Countryman.
