U.K. online retailer Notonthehighstreet.com has built a whole brand on selling unusual or quirky gifts that you can't get anywhere else.

The brand's latest ads, through Mother London, dream up the kind of situations that might prompt you to seek out an unusually thoughtful gift, starting with parenting moments. In one funny spot seen here, a mother suffers the ultimate embarrassing moment when her kid pulls her skirt down at the airport revealing that at least it's a "good knicker day."

"Yes she's on CCTV. MI5 have seen her underwear and for that she deserves something thoughtful," the voiceover tells us. Via Notonthehighstreet, Mom gets a personalized photo love letter necklace with a picture of her toddler.

Another spot, more heartwarming in tone, depicts a father who's forced to read the same story to his child night after night, complete with lion sound effects. He gets a personalized cinema marquee sign for his efforts.

The spots were directed by Larry Seftel through Mother Studios and are the first of a series launched in the run-up to Christmas.
