Nike's latest outing in its "Dream Crazier" campaign is a film about the incredible determination of an inspiring Spanish athlete, Alex Roca Campillo, who has cerebral palsy.
The film, primarily designed for Nike's Instagram Stories, was created by B-Reel's London office and directed by Clara Tägtström via its production arm BRF. It follows the journey of Roca Campillo to complete the Titan Desert Race 2019 event, a grueling 600km mountain bike race through the Moroccan desert, after he failed to finish it in 2018 and withdrew after 300 km due to dehydration.
Mingling old video clips from his childhood with new footage from the Titan event and his training regime, the spot captures his grit and determination in the face of quite severe physical challenges, making it a worthy addition to the series that has already profiled the likes of more famous athletes such as Serena Williams.
And—spoiler alert—while it isn't in the film, this time he completed the race, which finished last Friday.
