Organization Unites Under a Single Banner for the Games

Olympics advertising has brought communities together in some inventive ways. For example, Samsung found a way to unite, but maintain the identities of individual nations with its global spot bringing together the world's anthems. Now, the NFL has brought its 32 teams together as a single "Team USA" in a new film, cutdowns of which will run during NBC's Olympics coverage beginning tomorrow.

Created out of Grey N.Y. and produced by NFL Films, the spot captures the various teams' groundskeepers prepping their turf for the coming season, stenciling in the endzones. But when the cameras pan out, we don't see the expected team logos but the single line "Team USA." The action is set to an original cover of "The Star-Spangled Banner" by St. Vincent. Endline reads, "This summer, we are all one team," followed by the NFL tagline "Football is Family."
