Jonah Hill Is Hilariously Unconvincing in This Skateboard Store Film

Does He Really Love Hanging Out at Palace Skateboards?

Editor's Pick

Skateboard fashion store Palace Skateboards recruited Hollywood superstar Jonah Hill to big up its brand in a spot for its new collaboration with Reebok Classic shoes. And that he does, only just not in quite the way you'd expect.

The spot, by MPC Creative, was filmed in Palace Skateboards' London store. Hill gives a superb performance -- as a seriously bored and uncomfortable pitchman, unconvincingly telling us he always likes visiting the store when he's in London and "just chillin."

Not every actor can pull this off, but it's a technique we've also seen done masterfully by Ricky Gervais in Optus' campaign from Australia, and like Gervais, Hill has the comedic talent to make it hilarious. Not only that, the spot -- which has some great blink-and-you'll miss it moments like a half dressed guy walking out of a changing room in the background -- ends up turning into a kind of profane infomercial which may just have you laughing out loud.

The directors were Lev Tanju, Stuart Bentley and Stuart Hammond.
