Vegas hotel taps the famous to unveil its $690-million renovation

The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas is undergoing a $690 million renovation, including a new entertainment area called KAOS, featuring residencies from a slew of musicians. A new campaign from AKQA Portland imagines the new space as a kind of composite playground where these artists can indulge both their creative passions and their vices.

Cardi B fans herself with stacks of cash and Emily Ratajkowski reads a fiery gossip rag while reggaeton singer Ozuna takes advantage of the white glove service. Supermodel Adriana Lima eats katana-cut pork chops, and designer Dapper Dan dresses Ezra Miller in couture cut for Albus Dumbledore. Rally driver Ken Block does donuts outside while Rita Ora brushes her teeth.

The anthem spot, as well as individual vignettes featuring each artist, were directed by Grammy Award-winner Sam Brown They're backed by a new track from artist and designer Duckwrth that's produced by Agami Music and samples James Brown’s “Get On The Good Foot.” A longer standalone vignette slowly circles The Palms as a tiny, distant figure—graffiti artist Revok—paints a rooftop design.

In addition to the films and social media placements, items showcased in the film will be dropped in secret locations every day from March 26 to April 5, including a Gucci X Dapper Dan jacket, an original Revok painting, a microphone signed by Cardi B, a Marshmello helmet, a sculpture by Olivia Steele and Nikes designed by Joshua Vides.

Viewers can also book rooms, dinner reservations and buy show tickets at the new Palms website, created as part of the campaign.
