Philadelphia releases ‘Land of the Cream Cheese’ country song for Fourth of July

Rising country star Travis Yee belts it out in campaign from Gut Miami

With sales of Philadelphia Cream Cheese tending to spike around the Fourth of July—thanks to party staples like cheese dips and cheesecakes—the brand had released a patriotic campaign tied to the nation’s birthday, centered around an original song called “Land of the Cream Cheese.”

Created by Gut Miami, the song is brought to life by rising country star Travis Yee, who performs it in the video below. The song is also rolling out on all major music streamers, including Spotify and Apple Music.

 

Paid 15-second spots on TikTok and Instagram feature the song’s chorus set to a montage of cream cheese UGC videos. The campaign also includes recipe duets showing Yee duetting cream cheese recipes and saluting in front of an American flag backdrop as “Land of the Cream Cheese” plays.

“As an iconic brand that has been around for more than 150 years, Philadelphia shares our fans’ passion for proudly using our cream cheese to make anything and everything creamier,” said Keenan White, senior brand manager at Philadelphia. “We’re excited to recognize fans’ fervor in a way that’s never been done before and let them know that we see and appreciate their cream cheese devotion.”

“Love for cream cheese is something to be proud of, so we decided to sing about it,” said Andy Tamayo, creative director at Gut Miami. “This song celebrates all the ways Philadelphia cream cheese can be enjoyed and does so in a unique way for an iconic brand.”
