Sony is promoting its new Playstation Now cloud streaming service with a blockbuster ad that depicts hundreds of its video game characters descending to the earth from the skies above.

The spots starts with the words "It's Showtime" as the doors of a plane open and four masked characters (representing heist games like "Payday 2" and "GTA V") burst out of its doors. We then see a whole host of other figures, including Kratos from "God War," Scorpion from "Mortal Kombat X" and Nathan Drake from "Uncharted"  falling and crashing into the homes of bewildered players. Finally we realize that the characters have been summoned through PlayStation Now. The point is to showcase the access that players get—800 games for $9.99 a month—through the streaming service.

The ad is by Adam&Eve/DDB, the agency's first work for Playstation, and was directed by Mischa Rozema of Nexus Studios.
