Popeyes' 12-hour drive-thru begins in Texas, ends in Louisiana
Chicken fast feeder is making fans really work for their food

Today, fried chicken fast food chain Popeyes opened its newest drive-thru, in Fort Stockton, Texas. And while such services are typically meant to make life easier for busy eaters, this one is making consumers work for their food.
The process of ordering grub begins in the Lone Star State at the drive-thru’s menu board, but the pick-up window is a 12-hour road trip away, at Popeyes’ flagship location on Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana.
While the chicken fans will likely be dropping a lot of cash on gas, at least Popeyes will be giving them their meal for free--so we’d suggest ordering generously.
The stunt, created out of GSD&M, highlights the 12-hour marination process Popeyes’ chicken undergoes before it gets to your table.
The drive-thru officially kicks into gear on November 9, but Popeyes already gave some fans a preview of the trip, as seen in the film above.
The 12-hour drive-thru customers can also get a chance to win a year's worth of free fried chicken if they sign up at www.12hrdrivethru.com before they make their trip.
