Though this cautionary message came out earlier during the pandemic back in May, recent events behoove us to share it once again:

One of the benefits of working from home is that it affords plenty of alone time, even in the middle of the day. But the conveniences of virtual office life also come with potential perils, as seen in a new spot from adult streaming site Pornhub. Here, poor Daniel thinks he’s logged off a Zoom call. Instead, his coworkers get an intimate glimpse of his self-care routine.

It’s a bit pulled from real life—accidental video conference flashings and bathroom breaks have gone viral as millions of employees adapt to digital work. “Ever since the start of the pandemic, we’ve all had to adapt to working from home pretty quickly, and for a lot of us, that meant being connected to your coworkers on video calls throughout the day,” said Alex Katz, co-founder of Officer & Gentleman, Pornhub’s long-running creative partner, in a statement. “But as we’ve seen recently, some people are still getting the hang of the technology.”

The spot is out today for International Masturbation Day, established in 1995 after U.S. Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders was fired (by Bill Clinton, ironically) after she suggested masturbation should be taught as part of sexual education in schools.

Pornhub isn't the only one promoting the holiday. Somesuch director Raine Allen-Miller wrote a song called "Wank Wiggle" encouraging women stuck at home to take matters into their own hands.
