And just wait and see who directed it

It's time for the Publicis annual holiday video again, and this year, CEO Arthur Sadoun is having a sly dig at "influencers" and snack-able content.

This year's Wishes video is filmed on a smartphone by a particularly inept filmmaker, with shaky camera-work, dodgy sound fades and thumbs getting in the way as Sadoun attempts to explain what a great year Publicis had (Epsilon acquisition, pitches won etc.) despite a "challenging environment."

By way of explanation, he starts off by saying everyone in the network is so exhausted he's not going to ask for any help with the budget video: "It's just me, a smartphone and my assistant," he says. "Nowadays anyone can produce content..so I guess even me."

You'll have to watch through to the end to find out who exactly is wielding the smartphone—and it's worth the wait.
