PSA from Abbott-backed organization sees her causing chaos on a movie set

Rebel Wilson fronts a new campaign that aims to change awareness of how people view concussion-- and in order to do so, she indulges in some outrageously careless behavior.

The PSA sees the "Pitch Perfect" actress cause havoc on a movie set while claiming she's "incredibly well-behaved;" she throws dangerous objects, unleashes a python, lets fly with a flame thrower and sends a man into the air with a jetpack. However, she also points out that while her behavior might be rebellious, when she slipped on some grass, she went and got checked out for concussion. As part of the campaign, Wilson also talks to a doctor about her experience in a short video filmed on the set.

The Concussion Awareness Now campaign is the result of a collaboration between health technology company Abbott and the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA). It aims to highlight that more than half of suspected concussions are ignored. What's more, they often occur as the result of everyday accidents such as slips and falls, about which people are embarrassed, and then don't seek help.

The commercial was directed by Great Guns USA’s Oren Kaplan, with creative from John Maxham and Vince Cook.

"Production was incredibly fun, getting to shoot on the Universal Backlot - a dream for any filmmaker," said Kaplan in a statement. "On top of that, Rebel Wilson was a seasoned (and hilarious) pro: she knew the script inside and out, brought a bunch of new ideas, and had an amazing instinct for improvisation and physical comedy."
