The red couch from Jeremy Allen White’s Calvin Klein ad is back on Facebook Marketplace
Fernanda Clark, who won it in a giveaway earlier this year, said she is reluctantly parting ways with the furniture

The saga of the red couch continues.
The corduroy sofa that featured prominently in Jeremy Allen White’s steamy Calvin Klein ad in January is once again up on Facebook Marketplace—for the second time this year.
You’ll recall that agency Mojo Supermarket put it on Facebook Marketplace the first time, just days after the CK spot went viral, offering it up for free and asking for DMs from people explaining why they should have it. In the end, a woman named Fernanda Clark was gifted the couch after telling her story of moving to New York following the death of her husband. (The actual giveaway happened on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”)
Clark made the couch a centerpiece of her small NYC apartment, as seen in this story on Apartment Therapy. But now, Clark is reluctantly putting the couch back on Facebook Marketplace, looking to sell it—as she needs the money to help ease her transition to New York. She is also promising to give a portion of the proceeds to Sound Mind Live, a mental health charity.
“As a vintage furniture lover, it is very hard to let go of such a beautiful and meaningful piece of pop culture,” Clark said in a statement. “I am honored to have been chosen to be the owner, but along with many lessons I have been learning navigating this journey, two of them are very important to me now: learning to let go to move on and grow, and that is OK to ask for help while I am still healing. This way, I get to ask for help while also helping others.”
She added: “Selling ‘The Couch’ can give me hope for better days and more time to make this transition to New York City smoothly while creating this new life.”
White’s CK campaign made a huge impression when it launched in January, and several response campaigns ended up winning awards. Mojo’s stunt won three Lions in Cannes this year (a gold and a silver in Social & Influencer and a bronze in Direct), and German brewer BRLO’s amusing spoof of the CK video won its own silver in Social & Influencer. Away luggage also made a pretty hilarious parody campaign of its own.
Clark is accepting offers for the couch through Saturday (July 27). Below is the CK spot that started it all.
