No need to stress about holiday lodging when for up to $20 per night, McKinney is renting out virtual gingerbread houses as part of its holiday card this year. Through Gingerbread BNB, anyone can go online and book a stay at one of three candy dwellings -- modern home, rustic cabin, or cozy camper -- and 100% of donations go to Robin Hood, New York's largest poverty-fighting organization. Funds will help provide New Yorkers with a safe, warm place to stay this holiday season. Every $100 raised provides a homeless family with shelter for a night.
