Rose Leslie and Kit Harington from Game of Thrones reunite for a comic PSA that soon turns dark
A visit to a counselor unearths a whole lot more than one famous couple’s challenges living in the public eye

Rose Leslie and Kit Harington, who met while playing Ygritte and Jon Snow on Game of Thrones in 2011—and who’ve been married since 2018—have reunited onscreen for a longform PSA, which begins in comical fashion but ends on a much more serious note.
The setting is a therapist’s office, where the couple seem to be discussing their relationship issues—in particular, whether Harington truly loves his wife or is more concerned about his own image to be publicly affectionate. But it turns out that’s not quite what the piece is about.
The PSA was created by Mother and directed by Ben Strebel through Biscuit. The ending is pretty unexpected, and it’s worth a second viewing to catch the nuances of everything they’re talking about.
“Our largest high-street banks are in a dangerous relationship with the fossil fuel industry—and it’s time we all knew about it,” said Richard Curtis, founder of Make My Money Matter. “In 2022 alone, household names like Barclays and HSBC poured billions into the fossil fuel sector, ignoring clear warnings that new oil and gas fields risk causing catastrophic climate change. Such activity is not only bad for people and planet, it also runs against the wishes of millions of U.K. citizens who want their money tackling the climate crisis, not fueling the fire.”
“When Richard contacted us to be part of this, we thought he was offering us free couple’s therapy. Alas, no such luck. He was bringing to our attention something we could agree on,” added Harington and Leslie.
“People want to know who their bank is in a relationship with,” said James Ross-Edwards, creative director at Mother added. “We hope that our subtle use of humour will help get the truth through to people across the UK. Having real life and onscreen uber couple Kit and Rose acting this out for us was phenomenal.”
