This year, Cameo gave users the chance to give their loved ones a gift that combines tech, fashion and personalized celebrity messages: an ugly holiday sweater. The fan engagement platform gifted knitwear of questionable style to select users that booked messages from its biggest stars.

For diehard fans of “Lethal Weapon” actor Gary Busey, comedian Gilbert Gottfriend, “Real Housewife” Sonja Morgan, celebrity drag queen Shangela or “Tiger King” subject Carole Baskin, Cameo’s latest campaign, led by agency Giant Spoon, was the ultimate gift.

Following a promotion from the brand, the first 20 users that booked a personalized message with each of the five stars (100 customers total) received a special way to present their Cameo—a sweater with the face of their chosen icon. Knit into the sweater is a unique QR code that, when scanned, links directly to the custom message. The sweaters are decked out in holiday colors and patterns with humorous messages including “I believe in Santa Gottfried” and “Move over Mrs. Clause! Mama Sonja Morgan is here.”

Ad Age received a sample of a vibrant knit with the message, “Have a very Gary Christmas,” emblazoned over a cartoon of Gary Busey looking joyful. Scanning the QR code knit into the sweater with one’s phone, the following video loads:
