Twofifteenmcann tapped David Fincher and Blur's Tim Miller for "Scanned," an extended trailer for upcoming "Halo 4," that gives gamers a peek into the origins, as well as the fallibility, of super sci-fi soldier, Master Chief.

The film uncovers bits of Master Chief's history, from his days as the young boy John-117, to his involuntary recruitment as a Spartan to the physical enhancements that transformed him into the powerful warrior we're more familiar with. It then introduces a new twist to the Halo saga, a frightening new foe who, apparently, manages to screw with his head. The film debuted last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and launches a larger integrated global effort through which players will get to know the new evil in town.

Miller directed the film while Fincher executive produced. Shot in Prague, it features a mix of live-action and CGI. The game will be released on November 6.

The film was produced out of Fincher's new production company RESET, which he launched with former Anonymous Content Head of Commercials Dave Morrison earlier this year. Fincher and Miller have worked together quite a bit of late. Blur Studio worked on the highly acclaimed opening sequence for Fincher's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," while last week, they joined forces to promote Kickstarter project, "The Goon."
