Scott Bath made a horror short about the terrors of clogging your in-laws’ toilet
Director Chioke Nassor and agency VaynerMedia craft a chilling tale of a family visit gone very wrong

Visiting your significant other’s family for the first time is always a little uncomfortable, even if shouldn’t lead to “Get Out”-level terror. But such visits always bring a more mundane fear—what if something goes wrong with the toilet?
Scott Bath and VaynerMedia lean into toilet terror with a three-minute short film that shows the downside of leaving your Scott 1000 toilet paper (“made with clog-free technology”!) in the trunk of the car while visiting your prospective in-laws.
The results are horrific—even if the woman’s reaction at the end is perhaps a bit excessive.
Director Chioke Nassor of Even/Odd, who’s directed episodes of shows including “Black-ish,” “Superstore” and “High Maintenance,” as well as brand projects for Kate Spade and the ACLU, nicely follows horror conventions here—with well-placed moments of levity.
