Judy Greer Satirizies 'Natural' Food Freaks in Ads for Hormel
Campaign Aims to Show You Can Eat Natural Without the Fuss
Editor's Pick
Hormel has cast actress Judy Greer ("Arrested Development") in a zany campaign that satirizes people who go to extreme lenghts to eat "natural" food.
In one ad, she's with friends at a picnic. They all show off their "natural" foods -- one bee-stung looking woman "gathered honey from a beehive in the forest" while another has made a miniscule amount of jam from an "acre of raspberries." Greer, meanwhile, just went to the store and bought Hormel -- a statement that's greeted by looks of horror. Another spot sees her giving a sandwich lunch to her neighbor, who says she was "raised by wolves" and likes to eat all-natural. Turns out she might be literal about that.
The campaign, by BBDO Minneapolis, is aimed at people who are looking to make better food choices, while maintaining a realistic lifestyle. It was directed by Radical.Media's Randall Einhorn and will run on premium video channels and YouTube.
