You Too Can Be a Simpsons Character With 'Simpsonize Me'
Integrated Marketing Juggernaut on Fox Film Shows More Muscle With Avatar Maker

Editor's Pick
With The Simpsons Movie premiere just days away, the integrated marketing juggernaut surrounding the Fox film shows little signs of sluggishness. With brands like 7-Eleven and Vans already immersed in Simpsons mania, Burger King is now getting in on the action with its own variation of the Simpsons avatar generator found on the film's official site.
The "Simpsonize Me" tool, which essentially looks like a toaster with antennas, lets users upload hi-res, color-only shots of their mugs, then enter gender, age and other characteristics to render their own Springfield-styled visage.
The site isn't bereft of BK branding, though, as a "Simpsonized" King stands proudly in the "Eat Drink" section, which includes choice menu items and animated links to BK's site. But it is the avatar tool that takes center stage, accompanied by movie trailers, TV ads and a redirect back to "Virtual Springfield."
