As the World Cup kicks off dominating U.K. television schedules this week, Pringles has launched a holiday ad in which soccer and the festivities collide manically.

Set to a version of "Carol of the Bells," the 20 second spot features such as mashups as a snowman’s head hitting the back of the net, soccer-shaped baubles and Santa holding an air horn which blares as a robin sings. 

The brand has also brought back some Christmas can designs, feature snowmen, penguins, Santa and elves.

The ad is part of the brand's ongoing "Mind Popping" campaign by Grey London.

"Pringles is synonymous with celebrations, from Christmas to New Year's Eve and watching the football with friends," said Aisling O’Hara, Pringles European marketing manager, in a statement. “This is no ordinary winter, as we experience two of the biggest celebratory events in just one season. Our new advert highlights these moments and demonstrate that Pringles is the perfect snack for any occasion.”
