Your Fart Could Feature in Ubisoft's 'South Park' Video Game
'The Fractured But Whole' Will Feature the Sound of One Fan Breaking Wind
Editor's Pick
We've heard of marketers crowdsourcing fans' voices, lyrics, faces and more for their projects--but this is the first time we've heard of one crowdsourcing the perfect fart.
Ubisoft and agency Buzzman are asking people to compete to become the "official fart" of its new "South Park" video game, "The Fractured But Whole" (see what they did there?). In the game, available later this month, the player has a super power allowing him to fend off his enemies and travel through time. This power, symbolized by a fart in the game, is a harmful destruction weapon.
Ubisoft is encouraging fans to upload a video of their best efforts to break wind on the dedicated website iamthefart.com between now and Oct.16. The farts will be assessed by a jury composed of "Mr. Methane" (seen in the promotional video here), and members of the Ubisoft and South Park studios. Results will be revealed on the contest official website and on Facebook and Twitter on Oct. 23. and the winner will travel to San Francisco to record their fart at Ubisoft's studios.
