Cardi B and Jaden Smith are among the new statues in Spotify’s RapCaviar Pantheon

In 2017, Spotify immortalized artists Savage, SZA, and Metro Boomin as statues in its RapCaviar Pantheon, an exhibit at New York’s Brooklyn Museum that celebrated their lasting impact on hip-hop music. Today, they’re joined by four more: Cardi B., Jaden Smith, Juice WRLD and Gunna. The brand is celebrating the new inductees at another exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum running from April 3 - 7. To create the latest round, Spotify’s in-house creative team worked with visual artist Ibra Ake, known for his work with Childish Gambino and companies ranging from Vogue to CNN. Ake consulted on the project and directed the Pantheon’s accompanying films. “Spotify is committed to supporting young, innovative artists who also have a positive impact on the music industry, culture, and society,” said Carl Chery, Spotify’s hip-hop curator and Head of Rap Caviar in a statement. "These four bold and fearless artists are striving to make changes with their music, and we're thrilled to induct them into the program.” The RapCaviar playlist currently has more than 10MM followers and is largely regarded as one of, if not the most influential playlist on the Spotify platform.
