PlayStation's fun new spot for "Star Wars: Battlefront II" puts the rivalry between a boy and the girl next door center stage: he on the Jedi side and she on the Dark Side.

The ad, created by BBH New York and directed by Wayne McClammy at Hungry Man, begins with the little boy playing with his Luke Skywalker toys and seeing the little girl arrive next door. As she walks out of the moving truck, she's dressed in black and clutching a toy Darth Vader. Throughout the years, their rivalry blossoms (with a definite hint of attraction as they get older). He destroys a TIE fighter piñata but she strikes back by building a Death Star treehouse. They prank each other at school, on the football field and in a snow-covered parking lot.

Eventually, all grown up and sitting with his PlayStation in his apartment, the boy sees a full sized AT-AT, piloted by the girl, marching towards him. He joins the fight and bursts into the midst of a battle on the snow-covered Starkiller Base. They're now ready to put their rivalry to the test in a game.

It's like a "Star Wars"-themed romantic comedy--with definite appeal to hardcore fans, but relatable for anyone who likes the movies.
