Samsung Warns You What's Round the Corner in Billboard Stunt for Galaxy S6 Edge

Brand Wrapped Digital Screen Around a Busy Stockholm Street Corner

Samsung has been promoting its Galaxy S6 edge+ in Sweden with a fun digital billboard that faced in two directions on a busy Stockholm street corner, warning pedestrians of what was coming their way around the bend.

To highlight the smartphone's feature of live notifications round the edge of the screen, agency DDB Stockholm and production company Stopp constructed the billboard so that it wrapped around the corner. It connected to a publishing system that let an editorial staff tailor messages to pedestrians, according to situations that arose. These included, as seen in this film, warning people that a bike, skateboarder or even a "latte mom" with an enormous stroller, was coming the other way; or even cheekily telling two random strangers "you two look good as a couple."

It's a clever real-time stunt in the same spirit as recent work from the likes of JetBlue.
