Ahead of the launch of Minecraft's new "Super Duper Graphics Pack" early next year, the game is giving players a taster of some of the new graphics in a Broadway-style musical video.

The film, by 215 McCann, stars Melissa Benoist ("Supergirl," "Glee") singing her heart out as she moves through a world of Minecraft blocks (including flying chickens, dancing llamas and more) to music written and composed by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winner Tom Kitt ("Next to Normal," the "Bring It On" musical).

The long-form film debuted during the first half of Minecon Earth on Nov. 18, the yearly Minecraft convention. The "Super Duper Graphics Pack," coming early 2018, will add 4K graphics, dynamic shadows, movement in leaves and grass, and realistic elements such as beams of light and water physics into the game.
