Delta's new TV spot was filmed entirely in one take, from the persepctive of a plane taxi-ing along a runway to take off. While that may sound kind of boring, it's actually exhilarating, and clever as the viewer won't understand at first what's going on.
It's also helped by the silken tones of Donald Sutherland telling us in poetic language about the extraordinary experience of flight, the adventure of departure and the thrill of setting off for new lands. (Sutherland voiced previous spot On the Road for Delta, and continues as the voice of the brand.)
The ad will be followed by a second spot due to launch in Spring. It was created out of W&K New York and directed by Smuggler's Adam Berg and Joost van Gelder.
