Persil's Tiny Dioramas Show How the Outdoors Educates Kids
Fine Art Miniaturists Nix and Gerber Worked on Campaign for Unilever Laundry Brand
Editor's Pick
Unilever laundry brand Persil created these gorgeous dioramas as part of a continuation of its "Dirt Is Good" campaign, which has been running for a while in the U.K. Agency DLKW commissioned New York-based fine art miniaturists Lori Nix and Kathleen Gerber to create the scenes, which feature a frog, grasshopper and snail as "teachers" in a miniature classroom.
In each scene the teacher is surrounded by tiny classroom paraphernalia related to their courses, from Mr. Frog's biology classroom with miniature botanical posters and microscopes, to Mr. Cricket's music room complete with guitars, cellos and music stands. The strapline "To a child, everything's a teacher," reinforces Persil's message that going outdoors and getting dirty is all part of kids' education.
